You Better Sit Down, Folks

Where Is She Now
Ah Ha!!!! The patriarch has learned to blog....(take a look at yesterday's comments and take a wild guess who anonymous could be?) we're gonna have to iceskate home...hell just froze over. Well, for my second Friday night in Fairbanks, I took the advice of wandering girl and set up a play date for Az. ( Hey!!! My priorities are RIGHT where they should be) So, we went over to Mugsy's house ( although Bobbie pays mortgage) and Az got to run off some energy overflow. Today it was rainy and icky outside so Blondie had a bit of cabinfever. Poor Mugsy...a 13 year old Sheltie-mix that was just less than interested in Az's idea of triggering play by jumping on him, around him and everywhere in between. Although, no blood was drawn, it was an hour and a half of barking, some growling, human arms tiring from holding/pulling collars, and the cat wondering why the only words she has heard since our arrival is 'No' alternated with 'Stop It'. So, after some run around time, Bobbie and I headed out for dinner. Now, not to insinuate that the four-legger can't be trusted, but I did bring along Az's kennel. Only because I thought that while we were gone he would appreciate his known bed......and also because Bobbie likes her home and it's contents. So, realizing that I am now in the land of the "world's best" cold water shellfish, "write home about" salmon and according to Pa "can't be beat" halibut, we decided on Italian. After, a fabulous fish-free dinner accompanied with great conversation with my first Alaskan friend, we head back to the kiddos. Now, while we were gone one of two things happened. 1) Cesar Milan (aka Dog Whisperer) stopped by and introduced dogs properly or B) while Az was confined in his kennel Mugsy had a little sit-me-down with him explaining the house rules. Nonetheless, we returned to two calm dogs...no barking, jumping or growling... getting along perfectly. Two miracles, one day, no waiting.

I told you so! I told you so! Mugsy's great, but Bobbi-o's the best! She is a wonderful friend and I expect gifts forever for trusting you with her!

If only it was that easy for Buffy to make friends. For some strange reason, she thinks the world revolves around her. Don't know where she got that!
